Catherine White
RMT
Catherine graduated from the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy Halifax campus in 2020 and is a good standing member of the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia.
Growing up Catherine was involved in multiple competitive activities including dancing at R.S.I Danceworks and go-kart racing during the summer months at Scotia Speedworld. While in high school she began her fitness journey starting with body building and progressed to powerlifting where she competed locally in Elmsdale NS and as well in Maine, USA. She now continues to stay active within the powerlifting community as a judge for the World Powerlifting Congress (WPC).
With her history in dance, go-kart racing and body building/powerlifting she was no stranger to personal injuries and Catherine experienced the benefits of manual therapy and what they could do to help her injuries, pain management, rehabilitation and overall maintenance. This sparked Catherine’s desire to choose a career path of helping others on their journey of health and physical recovery.
Having her own experience with different massage techniques and modalities, Catherine realized that it is not one type fits all when it comes to massage, this encouraged her to pursue other modalities to offer her clients and ensuring the best treatment outcomes that work for each individual client needs. While in massage therapy school, Catherine completed her certification for cupping therapy and continued with further post-graduate courses such as Gua Sha therapy, Fascial Stretch Therapy level 1, and extra training for prenatal; a topic in which Catherine hopes to advance her knowledge in over the upcoming years.
